It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Althea Housman (Winterset, Iowa), born in Tingley, Iowa, who passed away on August 22, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Eljay Hathaway and Mary Jane Carvey Hathaway; her husband Floyd Housman; her children, Sondra Mapes and Ron Housman; and her siblings, Isobel Griswold, Ruth Evans, Edith Nicholl, Rose Stuart, Flo Terry, Murry (Bob), Harold, Charles and Harlin Hathaway.

She is survived by: her son Terry Housman; her sister Sylvia Petersen; and her grandchildren, Rhonda Fleming, David Mapes, Brian Mapes, Ron G. Mapes and Alicia Berry. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; 26 great great- grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family for a later designation.
