He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel "Glen" and Mary Anna Krieger Helphrey; and his siblings, Kenneth, Verl, Floyd, Frances Schenk and Greta Housman.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Jean; his children, Kurtis (Kathy) of Winfield and Karen Garrett (Mark) of Wayland; his grandchildren, Katy Black (Michael) and Klinton Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Madden and Karsyn Black.
