Ruth LaVon Klopfenstein Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth LaVon Klopfenstein of Winfield, Iowa, born in Spirit Lake, Iowa, who passed away on October 23, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Hassel and Elsie Marie Johnson (Mennen); and her sisters, Helen Clawson, Alice Woodsmall and Hazel Weaver.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph Klopfenstein of Winfield; her children, Paul Micheal Klopfenstein (Carrie) of Winfield, Rex Wayne Klopfenstein of Golden, Betty Jo Metz (Gary) of Parker and Sara Ann Tuschen (Timothy) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her sister Donna Conaway of Mt. Pleasant. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Winfield Public Library or the Winfield Historical Society in memory of Ruth.
