We are sad to announce that on December 17, 2020, at the age of 78, Franklin Ostby of Winfield, Iowa, born in Albert Lea, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frida Ostby (Bakken) and P. Eugene Ostby; his wife JoAnn Baasen; his children, Cheryl Crawmer (Travis) of Urbandale, IA, Kris Davis (Mike Scheidt) of Van Meter, IA and Paul Ostby (Julie) of Mount Pleasant, IA; his sister Eldora Kelly (Jack) of Annadale, VA.; his grandchildren, Justin, Madison Crawmer, Jacob, Emma Davis, Brittan, Zach, Anna and Kolbein Ostby; and his siblings-in-law, Carlyn Nordby (Ron) of Wilmar and Gene Baasen of Hutchinson. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for charities to be determined later.
