She was predeceased by: her parents, Andreas Schmidt and Bodil Schmidt (Jorgensen); her husband Edward D. Grimmer; and her daughter-in-law Lynda Grimmer. She is survived by: her children, Helene Hermann (Theodore) of Winfield, David Grimmer of Edmonds and Andrew Grimmer of Mt. Pleasant; and her grandchildren, Megan Carberry, Emily Grimmer, Edward Grimmer and Phoebe Grimmer. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for Sunrise Terrace Care Center, Winfield United Methodist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
