With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothy Jean Helphrey of Winfield, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl H. Kellogg and Nellie Kellogg (Fye); her husband Wendell Harry Helphrey; and her brothers, Dale Kellogg (Helen) and Billy Kellogg (Elva).
She is survived by: her children, Kurtis Helphrey (Kathy) of Winfield and Karen Garrett (Mark) of Wayland; her grandchildren, Katy Black (Michael) and Klinton Garrett (Sidney); and her great grandchildren, Madden, Karsyn, Kellon Black and Lee Garrett. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (102 S Olive St, Winfield, IA 52659). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Winfield First Responders or to Sunrise Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in memory of Dorothy Jean.
