She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Jackson and Catherine Jackson (Wilson); her husband Miles Edward Shelman; her son Michael David Shelman; and her siblings, Mary Varvel, Betty Keith, Charlotte Parkhurst and Dean Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Miles Keith Shelman (Mary Jo) of Mt. Pleasant, Kenneth (Barbara J. Shelman) of Olds and Jeanine Shelman-Ward (Douglas Ward) of Ankeny; her grandchildren, Brandan Shelman (Kate), Miles Adam Shelman, Spencer Shelman (Katrina), Kathryn Ann Shelman, Gretchen Shelman, Ryan Shelman (Stacy), Nathan Shelman (Kylie), Drew Ward (Addie Crawford) and Darrian Ward; her great grandchildren, Myranda Weiss, Kaiya Shelman, Landry Shelman, Keaton Shelman and Kensly Shelman; and her sister Pauline Neff. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Olds United Church of Christ.
