With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Steffen of Wilton, Iowa, who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Smith and Irene Smith (Grimes); her husband Donald Steffen; and her siblings, Howard, Glen, Naomi, Ruth, Charles, Wayne, Mary, John, Hubert and Dennis.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tami Sawvell (Stan) of Wilton, Terri Stanley (Keith) of Wilton and Tracy Krebs (Brian) of Durant; her grandchildren, Regan Porter (Brad), Ross Wagaman (Jamie), Riley Wagaman, Derek Sawvell, Hayley Brauns (Jordan) and Rachel Krebs; her great grandchildren, Griffin, Leona, Nora, Gus, Max, Abbott and Ava Lynne; and her siblings, James Smith (Sheryl) of Lime Springs, Iowa, Ellen Hicks (Frank) of Cedar Rapids and Sheryl Mather of Palo, Iowa..
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (308 Spruce St, Wilton, IA 52778). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to the Wilton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund.
