With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Bohnsack of Wilton, Iowa, born in Stockton, Iowa, who passed away on April 28, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Bohnsack and Regina Bohnsack (Fiedler); his wife Darlene A. Baer; his son Thomas Bohnsack; his grandson Ryan Bohnsack; and his brother Ronald Bohnsack.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Duncan (Todd) of Wilton, Kevin Bohnsack (Julie) of Wilton, Debbie Yetter (Tad) of Havana, Don Bohnsack of Wilton and Pam Gabby (Jeff) of Urbandale, Iowa; his grandchildren, Nicole, Collins Duncan, Andrea Bohnsack, Taelor Bohnsack (Christine), Joshua, Kaleb, Eden Yetter, Lucas Bohnsack (Kenzie), Brad Bohnsack (Rachel), Jillian, Lauren, Rachel and Jackson Gabby; his children, Andrew Bohnsack, Maddi Hirt (Derek) and Garrett Bohnsack; his great grandchildren, Tripp, Skyler Bohnsack, Neala Bohnsack and Jaxon Hirt; his sister Marilyn Fuller (Jerry) of Durant; and his sister-in-law Rea Bohnsack of Wilton. He is also survived by great grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Wilton Fire Department or the Wilton/Durant Food Pantry in his memory.
