She was loved and cherished by many people including: her adoptive parents, John Grunder and Selma Grunder (Fischer); her husband Fredrick W. Thurston; her children, Connie Knouse (Ronald) of Tipton, JoAnne Wells of Truth and James Thurston (Jeanie) of West Liberty; and her brothers, Carl and John Grunder. She was also cherished by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
