He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Brammeier and Leona Brammeier (Halberg); his wife Faye L. Dietz; his children, Sue Bruns (Gary) of Wilton, Cherie Baird (Greg) of Cedar Rapids and Doug Brammeier (Lenore) of Wilton; his grandchildren, Amie Vandervoordt (Scott), Erica Duran (Tim), Joe Brammeier (Lynne), Zach Sours (Tricia), Katie Calvert (Scot) and Laura Yoho; his great grandchild Britney Vandervoort; and his sister LaVerta Schneckloth. He was also cherished by 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the Wilton American Legion.
