He was predeceased by: his parents, John Steffen and Velma Steffen (Herbst). He is survived by: his wife Shirley Smith; his daughters, Tami Sawvell (Stan) of Wilton, Terri Stanley (Keith) of Wilton and Tracy Krebs (Brian) of Durant; his grandchildren, Regan Porter (Brad), Ross Wagaman (Jamie), Riley Wagaman (Emily Northous), Derek Sawvell, Hayley Brauns (Jordan) and Rachel Krebs; his great grandchildren, Griffin, Leona, Nora, Gus, Max and Abbott; and his sisters, Darlene Nelson (John) of Wellington and Irene Petersen (Jerry) of Wilton.
Memorials may be given to the Wilton High School Alumni Association Scholarship Fund in his memory.
