He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie Sterner and Wilma Sterner (Wright); and his wife Sharon E. Sterner. He is survived by: his children, Wanetta Dykema-Sterner (Sue) of Wilton, Troy Sterner of Wilton, Raymond Sterner of Wilton and Travis Sterner of Wilton; and his siblings, Wilbur Sterner of Wilton and Martha Wiebel (Phil) of Durant. He is also survived by six grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
A reception was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bentley Funeral Home (302 W 5th St, Wilton, IA 52778).
