With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Sonja Maria Armenta (Williamsburg, Iowa), born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 13, 2024 at the age of 58. She was predeceased by : her parents, Norman Joseph and Mary Williams (Flynn); her brother Robert Tillery; and her niece Jessica Armenta. She is survived by : her husband Esequiel G. Armenta; her children, Marcos Armenta of Millersburg, Veronica Armenta Henriquez (Salvador) of Coralville, Samuel Armenta of Millersburg and Julia Armenta (Arturo Reyna) of Tiffin; her grandchildren, Adriana, Gabriela, Leticia, Adrian, Roman, Angel and Legend; and her siblings, Michael Tillery, Deborah Armenta, Angelo Tillery and Angela Armenta.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home-Williamsburg (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 19th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established to assist the family with funeral expenses.
