He was predeceased by: his parents, Millen Frederick and Emma Anna Louise Sandersfeld (Schwarting); his wife Helen Joan Ohland; his great grandchild Zoe Sandersfeld; and his siblings, Phyllis Iburg, Evelyn Gerard and Verne M Sandersfeld.
He is survived by: his children, Marie Aldeman (William) of Coralville, Laura McCaw (Denny) of Tiffin, Anita Reihmann (Tim) of Marengo, Mark Sandersfeld (Colleen) of Amana, Audrey Dimmer (Gary) of Williamsburg, Vince Sandersfeld (Amy) of Longwood and Leon Sandersfeld of Frytown; his sisters, Elaine Wardenburg of Williamsburg and Joan Heitman (Harlan) of Sioux Falls, SD; and his brother-in-law Paul Ohland of Fort Collins, CO.. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren.
Masks and social distancing is encouraged.
Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church or the Lutheran Interparish School.
