He was predeceased by: his parents, George Folkmann and Emma Folkmann (Baack); his wife Dorothy Anne Wichmann; his son Gary; and his siblings, Ruth, Harold Folkmann and Edgar Folkmann.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Johnson (David) of North Liberty, Gregory Folkmann (Peggy) of Williamsburg, Pamela Folkmann-Huss (Chuck Huss) of Iowa City and Julie Hunter (Craig) of Dunnellon, FL; his grandchildren, Anthony Folkmann (Susan), Anne Stuedemann (Justin), Andrew Folkmann (Lindsay), Allison Dietrich (Brett), Emy Williams (Blake), Erik Johnson (Angie), Curtis Enochson, Haley Struckhoff (Garrett), Mitchel Hunter (Mallory) and Kalyn Lancette (Joshua); his great grandchildren, William, Emma Folkmann, Ella, Ava Stuedemann, Marie Folkmann, Landon, Maddox Dietrich, Ashlyn, Teague Williams, Seth, Cooper Johnson, Leo, Lincoln, Luther Struckhoff and Indie Hunter; his brother Verne Folkmann (Marlene); and his sister-in-law Mary Folkmann. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
