He was predeceased by: his parents, George Schindler and Della E. Schindler (Rogers); and his brother Willard Schindler. He is survived by: his spouse Sally Tokheim; his children, Tracy Tud (Juan Carlos) of Palo Alto, Gene Schindler Jr. (Denise) of Tiffin and Iowa Greg Schindler (Dawn) of Washington, Iowa; and his sister June Benson of Jacksonville. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
