She is survived by: her children, Linda Dodds (John) of Carlisle, Mike Carter (Linda) of Williamsburg, Jill Smothers (Dan) of North English and Ray Carter (Michelle) of Deep River; her daughter-in-law Mary Carter of Williamsburg; and her sister JoAnn Sturgeon of Cedar Rapids. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
