He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Heitshusen and Mildred Heitshusen (Koester); his wife Cleo L. Stahl; his sister Fern Tschopp (Wayne); and his brother-in-law Don O'Brien.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carole Von Ahsen (Randy) of Williamsburg and Kaye Adair (Damon) of Perry; his grandchildren, Trent Von Ahsen (Hayley), Tiffany Wenner (Brandon), Bryce Von Ahsen (Morgan), Cole Adair (Jenny) and Quinn Adair (Lauren); his great grandchildren, Tate, Harper, Mason, Emerson, Max, Luke, Drew, Will, Davis and Graham; his sister Janet O'Brien of North English; and his sister-in-law Maralyn Slaymaker (Tom) of Williamsburg.
