It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Everett Harrison of Williamsburg, Iowa, born in Vinton, Iowa, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Harrison and Nina Harrison (Geiger); his brothers, Marion, Dean and Roger; his nephew Mark Harrison; and his friends, David, Jason and Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Harrison; his children, Shelly Rollins (Paul) of Dyersville, Doug Harrison (Amy) of Oxford and Amy Stourac of Vinton; his grandchildren, Maria (Craig), Tony (Alana), Benjamin (Samantha), Abby, Tucker (Michelle), Garrett (Olivia), Samantha, Trevor (Sam), Jesse (Tylyn), Crystal and Grant; his great grandchildren, Greyson, Emma, Lyla, Ruth, Hank, Sierra, Thea, Emmett, Cole, Asher, Cora, Emerson, Leighton, James and Iris; and his siblings-in-law, Beth Harrison, Sheryl Campbell (Richard), Dave Backes (Barb) and Robert Backes (Shelley). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Powell Funeral Home-Williamsburg (407 N Highland St, Williamsburg, IA 52361). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (500 Clark St, Williamsburg, IA 52361).
