It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elaine Emma Wardenburg (Williamsburg, Iowa), who passed away on April 24, 2021, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Millen F. Sandersfeld and Emma A. L. Sandersfeld (Schwarting); her husband Orville H. Wardenburg; her siblings, Vern Sandersfeld (Pat), Louis (Helen Sandersfeld), Phyllis Iburg (Delmar) and Evelyn Gerard (John); her granddaughter Tara Wardenburg; and her daughter Sarah Wardenburg.
She is survived by: her children, Kenton Wardenburg (Marcy) of Williamsburg, Sherri Steffen (Roger) of Cedar Rapids, Janel Staton (Mike) of Iowa City and Aron Wardenburg (Angie) of Coralville; and her sister Joan Heitman (Harlan) of Sioux Falls. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
