He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCallister and Ocie McCallister (Martin); his wife Lila Belle Johnson; his son Daryle John McCallister; his grandchildren, Travis Haught and Alishia Paul; his great grandchildren, Jonah Sheets, Willow, James and Damion Shaull; his great great grandchild Ezail Enriquez; his son-in-law Steve Axmear; and his siblings, Curtis, George, Wayne, William, Donald McCallister, Opal Conn, Eileen Wagner, Ruby Schwarting and Rita Butler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Janice Sheets (Mike) of Muscatine, Beverly Lehrkamp (Larry) of Willis, Barbara Olson (Barry) of Conroy, Marvel Axmear of North English, Delores Shaull (Larry) of Williamsburg and Dianne Haught (Bruce) of Iowa City. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul's United Methodist Church.
