It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlen R. Hakeman in Williamsburg, Iowa, born in Belle Plaine, Iowa, who passed away on March 3, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Hakeman and Helen Hakeman (Meyer); and his sister Jean Kalinay. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Popelka; and his children, Terry (Lynell O'Connor) of Williamsburg and Janet Phipps (Duane) of Grinnell. He is also survived by six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

A general memorial fund has been established.
