He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Hansen and Mary Hansen (Newel); his wife Diane Elbert; and his siblings-in-law, Vickie Elbert (Randy), Randy Elbert and Loren Richter.

He is survived by: his children, Jeremy Hansen (Kim Faber) of Orlando, FL, Jacob Hansen (Lacy) of Garretson, SD and Jenna Wolf (Jamie) of Algona; his grandchildren, Jada, Ella, Carson Hansen and Lola Wolf; and his siblings, Randa Hansen of Bella Vista, AR and Martha Hansen of Roseville, MN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Michaels Catholic Church in Whittemore, IA.
