He is survived by: his wife Donna Mae of Algona; his children, LuAnn Volkmer (Nick Woolley) of Johnston, Melissa (Dave Schlader), Larry (Nancy Besch) and Linda (Rick Morris); his grandchildren, Kayla Ruzicka (Braiddey), Samuel Volkmer, Nicholas, Isabel Schlader, Logan, Megan Besch, Zachary and Brayden Morris; and his siblings, Clem Besch of Kasson, MN, Cletus Besch of St. Louis, MO, Anita Lallier of Algona and Bill Besch (Carol) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
