He is survived by: his wife Lori Thornton of Whittemore; his son Gabriel Thornton (Jim) of Whittemore; his siblings, John (Kathy Thornton), JoAnne (Alan Johnson), Joseph (Vickie Thornton), Jacqueline (Thomas Ricke), Jeffrey Thornton of Sioux City and Jayne Thornton of Ankeny; and his siblings-in-law, Jim, Deb Christensen of Ankeny, David and Shelley Christensen of Grimes. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
