It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne R. Mitchell of Whiting, Iowa, who passed away on June 17, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen E. Mitchell and Alice L. Mitchell (Kurtzer); his wife Velva; his brothers, Lyle and Harold Mitchell; and his brother-in-law Bob Wiebusch.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vickie Sieger (Jim) and Judy Kerr (Ron); his grandchildren, Jill Tentinger (Scott), Jami Stevens (Jeff) and Nick Kerr (Jill); his great grandchildren, Connor Tentinger, Camryn Tentinger, Cora Stevens, Naomi Stevens, Kinsey Kerr and Kelsey Kerr; his siblings, Roma Rhodes (Robert), Don Mitchell (Maggie) and Daryl Mitchell (Carolyn); and his parents-in-law, Fran Mitchell, Verona Mitchell, Adeline Wiebusch, Rosalie, Harley Shortridge, Ramona and Roger Horky. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
