He was predeceased by: his brother Timothy Deen; and his grandparents, Darrel Sr., Opal Deen, Emil and Irene Wahlstrom.
He is survived by: his parents, Billy Deen and Marjorie Deen (Junkermeier) of Whiting, Iowa; his brothers, Rick Deen (Lynne) of Whiting, David Deen (Charlene) of Onawa and Jerry Deen (Kelly) of Dewey, Oklahoma; his sister-in-law Merrie Deen of Whiting, Iowa; his close friend Kathy Flohr of Sioux City, Iowa; and also, Michael Zinns of Sioux City, Israel Zinns of Canton, Mary Zinns of Sioux City, Iowa, Terry, Brandon and Elizabeth. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whiting Christian Church (716 West St, Whiting, IA 51063). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
