He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert Armstrong and Viola Armstrong (Devenport); his siblings, Lester Armstrong (Ruby), Kenneth Armstrong (Margaret), Walter Armstrong (LaVonne), Lela Armstrong and Ruby Sigler (Bernard); his brother-in-law Robert Tedford (Ronnie Beck); and his close friend Charlie Mortensen.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Armstrong; his siblings, Rosie Tedford of Pisgah, Patsy Beck of Logan, Mary White (Al) of Hornick, Iowa and Keith Armstrong (April) of Pisgah, Iowa; his stepchildren, Jaye Johnson (Amy) of Des Moines, Jared Johnson of Indonesia and Jennie Bordanaro (Chris) of Rosemount, Minnesota; and his close friends, Sheila Holbrook of Onawa and Cathy Mortensen of Alabama. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Whiting Christian Church (716 West St, Whiting, IA 51063). A prayer was held on Sunday, October 27th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, October 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
