It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joanne Brenden of Whiting, Iowa, born in Onawa, Iowa, who passed away on October 12, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Collett and Ella Collett (Johanson); her husband Gale A. Brenden; her granddaughter Jennifer Teel; her siblings, Don Collett (Doris) and Mary Ping (Chuck); and her brothers-in-law, Bob Harms and Easton Bearce.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Teel (Larry) of Whiting, Iowa, Bradley Brenden (Mary) of Missouri Valley, Iowa and Lori West (Skip) of Whiting, Iowa; her grandchildren, Adam Teel, Jessica Teel, Craig Brenden, Katie Morton, Trent West, Nicholas West, Alex West, Ashleigh Ellithorpe, Alyshia Larson and Elliott Curnyn; her great grandchildren, Lauryn, Brenyn, Karsyn Teel, Paxton Teel, Barrett, Callum Teel, Marissa, Layne Brenden, Cadence, Ryatt, Saylor Morton, Taver, Paisley West, Owen, Ryker West, Emmett, Luna, Eleanor West, Maddyson, Chloe, Evan Ellithorpe and Orrin Larson; her sisters, Betty Harms and Dorothy Bearce; and her sisters-in-law, Ardis McCandless (Bert) and Nancy Brenden. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday, October 16, 2020 at the First Congregational Church, U. C. C., Whiting, Iowa led by Christian Jensen. (Social distancing measures must be followed-Due to Covid-19 restrictions- Please bring and wear masks.).
