He is survived by: his wife Monica Kavanaugh-Cooper (Swerczek) of Whiting, Iowa; his children, Sherry Hatten (Jeff), Kayla Kavanaugh, Kristin Kavanaugh and Jacob Kavanaugh (Sammie); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Hatten (Leslie), Benjamin Hatten (Braydee), Addison, Karlie, Raegan and Jentry Kavanaugh; his great grandchild Levi Thomas Hatten; and his cousins, Robin Cooper (Laura), Kevin Cooper (Patty) and Celia Applebeaum (Hal).
