He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Kahler; his children, Kent (Jill) of Wheatland, Kim Klahn (Gary) of Clarence and Kendra Fitzgerald (Rick) of Lowden; his grandchildren, Kalab Klahn (Kaylie), Kody Klahn (Cassie), Savanna Bachus, Kendall Bachus, Ashley Fitzgerald and Kyle Fitzgerald; and his brother Robert Bachus (Esther) of Wheatland. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
