She was predeceased by: her parents, Virtus Hass and Ellnora Hass (Meyer); her son Robert; her great grandchild Luke; her sister Jean Jungck; and her siblings-in-law, Lee Lenth, Maurice Jungck, Oscar Shelton and Joan Shelton.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. M. E. Shelton; her children, Dr. Jim Shelton of DeWitt, Shirley Franks (Dillon) of DeWitt and Sally Scott-Hendrix (Chris) of Clarkston, MI; her grandchildren, Gayle Sopousek (Dennis) of Cedar Rapids, Kelli Bruckman (Brian) of Coralville, IA, Carri Marando of Davenport, IA, Dr. Lindsey Mortenson (Julian) of Ann Arbor, MI, Reed Young of Union, KY, Marisa Franks of Lilburn, GA, Camille Franks Check (Jeff) of Longmont, CO, James R. Shelton of Plymouth, MN, Melissa Kelly of Los Angeles, CA, Steven Scott, Rachel Scott, Gianna, Marissa and Dominic Hendrix of Clarkston, MI; and her siblings, Verna Lenth of Edgewood, IA and Fred Hass of Mechanicsville. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (415 10th St, DeWitt, IA 52742).
