He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Goetzinger and Agnes Goetzinger (Wageman); his wife Lois Goetzinger; his stepson Jason Nielsen; his brother Charles Goetzinger; and his sister-in-law Jane Goetzinger.
He is survived by: his spouse Marie Larsen; his daughter Tiffany Skidmore of Grandview, Iowa; his stepchildren, Jennifer Daggett (Wade) of Blair, Nebraska, Jeremy Nielsen (Kylie) of Irwin, Iowa and Joshua Nielsen (Stephanie) of Harlan, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Wyatt Skidmore, Payton, Paige, Hayden Daggett, Max, Maeve Nielsen and Kamber Nielsen; and his siblings, Marilyn Zimmerman (Ron) of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Anna Mae Gross (Dale) of Harlan and Larry Goetzinger (Julie) of Westphalia, Iowa.
