He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Lias and Edna Pauline Lias (Michael); his son Donald James 'Jimmy Lias; and his siblings, Helen Hoffman, Harry 'Bud Lias, Frances Wirth and Norman Lias.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lias; his daughters, Viola P. Lias of Holstein, IA, Diana M. Miller (Dennis) of Elk Point, SD and Maryfrances Stiles (Kevin) of Le Mars; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Adam (Whitney), Amanda, Patricia, Andrew, Susan, Angela, James and Alyssa Joy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other extended relatives.
