He is survived by: his wife Irene Shirley Lauer; and his children, Debbie Lorenz (Mike) of Des Moines, IA, Gary Lauer of Randalia, IA, Mark Lauer (Barb) of West Union, IA, Gerald Lauer (Brenda) of Stanley, IA and David Lauer of West Union, IA. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
