He is survived by: his son Dan Hovden (Chris) of West Union; his grandchildren, Beth Wood (David) of Pella, Iowa, Kirby Hovden of Cedar Rapids, Kylie Hovden (Corey Streif) of Fayette, Trevor Wood (Addy) of Pella, Tanner Wood of Kansas City, Tate Hovden of Des Moines, Brooks Hovden of Dekalb and Trey Wood of Pella; his sister Audrey Dahle of Decorah; and also, Brandon Cassidy (Tiffany) of Honolulu, Cheyanne Hackett (Jim) of Prairie du Chen and Sydney Stankee of Cedar Rapids. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
