He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Holtkamp and Louise Holtkamp (Krieger); his siblings, Marian Holtkamp Linnenbrink, Edward and Arthur Holtkamp; and his siblings-in-law, Clementine Rauenbuehler Holtkamp, Mary Linnenbrink Holtkamp, Darlene Weir Holtkamp, Albert Linnenbrink and John Kurimski.
He is survived by: his sons, Leslie (Tina), Loren (Ann) and Wade (Kari); his grandchildren, Riley Holtkamp, Brianne Holtkamp Dunkelberger, Brent Holtkamp, Everly Holtkamp and Olive Holtkamp; his great grandchild Blaine Dunkelberger; his sisters, Anita Holtkamp Freesmeier (Edward) and Geri Holtkamp Conrad (Donald); and his sister-in-law Carleen Walljasper Kurimski. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for St. Paul - West Point Fire and Rescue.
