He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Eugene and Nina Fern Carr (Zimmerman). He is survived by: his wife Janie Kempker of West Point; his daughters, Mindy Mohrfeld (Jason) of Ankeny and Julie Lemley (Nathan) of Waterloo, Iowa; his grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Jacob, Aidan and Elijah; and his sister Linda Thye of Fort Madison, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
