He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward H. Boeding and Irene Boeding (Strothman); and his siblings, Lambert, Paulie, Bill, Charlie, Harry, Edward, Archie, Melvin Boeding, Darlene Umthum and Rosemary Glasgow.
He is survived by: his wife Vera Watznauer; his children, Deb Holtkamp (Ron) of Montrose, Russ Boeding (Connie) of Waterloo, Karen Boeding of Ankeny, Ed Boeding (Nancy) of Moberly and Roger Boeding (Diana) of Moscow; his grandchildren, Jason (Nicole), Brian, Matthew, Michael, Katelyn and Ryan Boeding; his great grandchildren, Madison, Ella and Gracie Boeding; and his brother-in-law Harold Glasgow. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health and Hospice House or West Point Fire and Rescue.
