He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim H. Menke and Rita T. Menke (Veith); and his son Paul Menke. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou; his daughters, Angie Lackie (Jeff) of Sequin, Texas, Wendy Vonderhaar (Tim) of West Point and Kerri Phelps (Jeff) of Stockport, Iowa; his grandchildren, Eric, Luke, Judd, Dirk Daniels, Trenton, Meggie Meyer, Emma and Dean Phelps; and his brother Marty Menke (Kathy). He is also survived by several in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in his memory for Houghton Fire and Rescue or Laplanders Tractor Association.
