It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melvin Moeller of West Point, Iowa, who passed away on January 4, 2025, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melvin Moeller to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Moeller and Cecilia Moeller (Geers) of Pilot Grove, Iowa.; his son-in-law Dan Mueller; his granddaughter Amanda Lynn Moeller; and his brother Eugene "Mick" Moeller.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Moeller; his children, Dean Moeller (Judy), Amy Mueller (Brad Vandenberg) and Ann Abolt (Bernie); his grandchildren, Megan McGraw (Wes), Mitch Moeller (Sarah Grace), Stephanie Winnike (Kurt), Abby Mehmert (Justin) and Austin Abolt (Amanda); his stepgrandchildren, Tara Sides (Gavin) and Jason Mueller (Jaime); and his siblings, Kenny Moeller (Jean), Mary Moeller, Jeanice Schwartz (Mark), Coleen Dingman (Gene) and Joyce Maupin (Bruce). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church (310 Ave D, West Point, IA 52656). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial has been established for Lee County Hospice or Holy Trinity Catholic Schools.
