He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse J. Pollpeter and Gertrude R. Pollpeter (Boeding); his brother James Pollpeter; and his brother-in-law Carl Bell. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy R. Kempker; his children, Kent Pollpeter (Tina) of Urbandale, Iowa and Brenda Dunker (William) of Ankeny, Iowa; his grandchildren, Grace, Griffin Dunker of Ankeny, Anna and Henry Pollpeter of Urbandale, Iowa; his sisters, Jane Bell of Franklin, Alice McCannon (Gary) of West Point and Monica Burke (Steve) of Denmark; and his sister-in-law Barb Pollpeter of Fort Madison, Iowa.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Calvary Cemetery.
