She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur McCracken and Nora McCracken (Wallingford); her husband Carl Schmitt; her daughter Marcia Carr; and her children-in-law, Linda Schmitt and Randy Lampe.
She is survived by: her children, Vada Lampe (Craig Conrad) of Houghton, Iowa., Arthur Schmitt of Richmond, Roderick Schmitt (Valerie), Sidney Schmitt (Luan) of New London and Verne Schmitt (Debra) of New London, Iowa.; and her son-in-law Melvin Carr (Sharon). She is also survived by Twenty grandchildren, thirty-two great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and three step grandchildren.
