He was predeceased by: his mother Lucia Lampe (Maurer); his daughter Haley Lampe; his father-in-law Garry Underwood; and his grandmother Janet Yossett. He is survived by: his father Gerald Lampe of Augusta; his wife Nicole Hayes-Underwood of Augusta; his children, Martha Bell (Brendon) of Fort Madison and Garry Lampe of Keokuk; his grandchildren, Greyson Bell, Brantley Bell and Kaidan Lampe; his siblings, Kim Douglas (Tracy) of Willard, Janel Souder (Duane) of Donnellson, Linda O'Donnell of Burlington, Chris Lampe (Heather) of Fort Madison and Kenny Lampe of Ohio; and his friends, Matt, Kim Bell, Shawn and Ashlee Fuller. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
