He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold G. Menke and Anna Marie "Dolly" Menke (Korte); and his brothers, Harold and Tom Menke. He is survived by: his wife Tina J. Siemens; his children, Bradley W. Menke (Samantha) and Kelsey M. Bales (Shawn); his grandchildren, Nilie, Nora, Owen, Mia Menke, Bennett, Hudson and Bales; his siblings, Danny Menke (Brenda), Greg Menke, Anna Thornburg (Stan), Susan Coffey (Merle) and Eric Menke (Mary); and his sister-in-law Susan Menke. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and two aunts.
In lieu of flowers, a memorials have been established in his memory for Wever Fire and Rescue, West Point Fire and Rescue or Southeast Iowa Regional Home Health Care and Hospice.
