He is survived by: his wife Audrey Holtkamp of West Point, Iowa; his children, Patrick Holtkamp (Jan) of West Point, Iowa, Beverly Clark (Jim) of Grimes, Iowa, Howard Holtkamp (Nancy) of West Point, Iowa, Suzanne Menke (Sam) of Donnellson, Iowa and Carol Pierce (Rob) of Altoona, Iowa; his grandchildren, Adam Clark (Beth), Andrew Clark (Ayana), Trenton Holtkamp, Kasse Holtkamp, Trevor Menke (Christine), Brice Menke (Teja Fischer), Elizabeth Pierce and Brody Pierce; his great grandchildren, Lillian Clark, Hunter Clark, Audrey Menke and Marie Menke; his siblings, Pauline Peterschmidt, Marvin Holtkamp (Sue) of Donnellson, Iowa, Cletus Holtkamp of Donnellson, Iowa, Karole Holtkamp of Phoenix, Arizona and Barbara Boeding (Leslie) of West Point, Iowa; his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Holtkamp and MaryJane Montgomery; and also Digna Oyanedel of Chile.
A memorial has been established for Calvary Cemetery and the West Point American Legion.
