He is survived by: his children, Scott Pollpeter (Sandi) of Tampa, Florida, Diane Thompson (Joel) of Solon, Iowa, Michael Pollpeter (Teri) of Walnut Shade, Missouri, Roger Pollpeter of Anamosa, Iowa, Steven Pollpeter of Wever, Iowa, Brian Pollpeter (Jodi) of Lacey and Dean Pollpeter (Amy) of Ankeny, Iowa; and his brother Dennis Pollpeter. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren.
