She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Thompson and Leona Grace Thompson (Ericson); her father-in-law Jargo; her siblings, Dean Thompson and Sharon Sander; her brother-in-law Duane Sartain; and her niece Andrea Sartain.
She is survived by: her husband Raymond David Spiekermeier; her daughter Jean; her sisters, Audrey Diane of Sierra Vista and Janet Horstman (Gary) of Denmark, Iowa; her brother-in-law John Sander of Farmington, Iowa; and her nieces, Sandra, Jennifer, Kandys, Paula and Lori.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's and West Point Fire Department and Rescue.
