It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Porter Ronald Baird of West Liberty, Iowa, born in Bloomfield, Iowa, who passed away on November 3, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Porter Heady and Margaret Frona Baird (Foster); and his wife Joan Alma Hinrichs. He is survived by: his children, Mike Baird (Debbie) of Marion, Kate Brady (Dennis) of Muscatine, Karen Scott (Randy) of West Liberty and Jeff Baird (Denise) of West Liberty; his grandchildren, Brent Baird, Frannie Baird, Jessica Wagg (Jacob), Logan Brady (Jessica), Andrew Scott (Jenny), Ryan Scott, Jacob Winter, Jason Dierdorff (Kayla) and Meredith Parizek (Brent); his great grandchildren, Landry Wagg, Kreed Wagg, Delilah Wagg, Chloe Brady, Jasper Scott, Emeri Dierdorff, Addilyn Parizek and Brynlee Parizek; and also Stuart Baird (Sandra) of Phoenix, Arizona..
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Snyder and Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services (603 2nd St, Columbus Junction, IA 52738).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church or the Columbus Junction American Legion in memory of Ron.
